Al-Farabi Kazakh University took 165th place in the QS World University Rankings. Since 2014, Kazakhstan has been actively taking part in this rating and demonstrates stable progress up the steps.

QS World University Rankings is considered one of the most respected in the world. It evaluates the 1,000 best universities in the world. Its methodology is based on 6 criteria. Particular attention is paid to the citation of scientific papers, which is (20%).
