    2016

    Founding of the company

    Creation of Scientific Publications. Denys Serhiiovych Pylypenko founds the company. The company commences scientific activities in Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries.

    2017

    Geography of influence

    Scientific Publications expands its geography of influence. Researchers from more than 30 countries, including those of the CIS and Eastern Europe, become clients of the company.

    Visual Identity

    The company starts developing a unique visual identity (logo, colours, fonts, graphics), and creates its Visual Identity Guidelines.

    Partnership

    The first memorandum of cooperation in the field of scientometrics and scientific publications was concluded with the Ukrainian institution of higher education.

    2018

    Merger of companies

    The Scientific Publications company comes under the management of a single holding company — Scientific Alliance, the parent structure that unites the projects in the scientific field.

    Leadership

    In terms of quality and quantity of completed projects, the company is becoming a recognised leader in the field of scientific publications in the CIS.

    2019

    New office

    The company is moving to a new headquarters in Ukraine, which is becoming the largest research and publication hub in Eastern Europe.

    Launch of personal media

    Scientific Publications creates the Science and Metrics — the first journal about scientometrics in Ukraine.

    Scientific and Educational Centre

    The company launches its Scientific and Educational Centre. Its purpose is to conduct webinars, seminars, and conferences to inform the academia about all relevant and important events in scientometrics and science.

    Cooperation with CrossRef

    Scientific Publications has become the official sponsor organisation of the CrossRef agency, which provides a registration DOI for the publication of scientific articles.

2020

Branch in the Republic of Kazakhstan

A branch of the company is opened in the Republic of Kazakhstan. At present, it is the only official distributor of scientific and publishing services in this country.

Certification Centre

The company has created the Certification Centre platform. It has become an official international certification centre for researchers in accordance with regulatory documents and standards of those countries where the Scientific Publications company provides its services.

2021

Educational Activities

Scientific Publications has held more than 150 educational events on scientometrics (conferences, seminars). Over 20,000 researchers from Ukraine and the CIS countries attended the company's webinars.

Memorandums

The company actively continues to expand the boundaries of cooperation with international universities and scientific institutions in research and scientific publications. In 2021, more than 25 memoranda were signed with universities of Ukraine and more than 20 memoranda — with universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Rebranding

Due to the new stage of development and the expansion of the company's influence in the international scientific space, a rebranding was carried out with the updating of the name, logo, positioning, etc.

Anniversary and plans

The company celebrated an anniversary – 5 years of undisputed leadership in the field of publication support. Scientific Publications is developing actively and is planning new projects, partnerships, and the opening of new representative offices in different countries.

The establishment of the Charitable Foundation “Scientific Alliance”

The establishment of the Charitable Foundation “Scientific Alliance”, that became the representation of the company’s values. The Foundation’s activities are based on the idea of creating a better future, humanity principles and helping all those in need. A part of the funds from each implemented service is automatically transferred to the charity.

2022

The company in the conditions of war

On 24 February 2022, the Russian Federation invaded the territory of Ukraine, where the company’s head office operates. The war became a turning point for many employees, but thanks to joint efforts and support from the branch in Kazakhstan, the company managed to maintain its leading position in the expert support market for researchers and continue to provide its services to a high standard.

The acquisition of “World Sci Publ”

The “Scientific Publications” Company has successfully completed an acquisition deal of a part of the infrastructure and assets of the competing brand “World Sci Publ” in Kazakhstan and other Asian counties.

Extension of structure and international influence

The “Scientific Publications” is actively working on opening representative offices in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Poland, Albania and other countries, as well as expanding the structure in Ukraine.

2023

Educational Activities

The scientific training centre of the company “Scientific Publications” has been actively organising educational events in the field of scientometrics. In 2023, the centre held over 100 webinars and seminars aimed at raising researchers' awareness of current issues in scientometrics.

Memorandums

The company has been expanding its cooperation with higher education institutions and research organisations. In 2023, more than 50 memorandums of cooperation were signed with leading universities and research institutions in various countries.

Awards

The company “Scientific Publications” received recognition from experts and became a laureate of the prestigious national Ukrainian Business Award in the “Business of the Year 2023” category. Additionally, the company was honoured with the “Star of Quality” award and was included in the ranking of the most successful companies in several countries in 2023.

2024

Opening of New Offices

A significant milestone for the “Scientific Alliance” in 2024 was the expansion of its office network. The company “Scientific Publications” opened a new office in Kyiv and its first office in Bishkek, marking an important step in entering the Central Asian market and developing its presence in the region.

Launch of the “Science and Metrics” journal

In 2024, the journal Science and Metrics, dedicated to scientometric issues both in Kazakhstan and beyond, was launched in Kazakhstan for the first time.

Educational Activities

The scientific training centre of the company “Scientific Publications” continued its active work and organised over 80 webinars and seminars in 2024, focusing on issues in scientometrics.

Awards

The public organisation “USA” honoured the “Scientific Publications company with the “SCIENTIFIC COMPANY AWARD 2024” for its significant contribution to the development of science in Kazakhstan, recognising it as the best company in the field of expert support for researchers.

Memorandums

In 2024, the company continued to actively support the development of science and scientometrics, expanding partnerships with higher education institutions and research organisations. During the year, over 30 memorandums of cooperation were signed with leading universities and research institutions in various countries.

2025

Rebranding of the website and logo

In connection with the development of the company “Scientific Publications” a decision was made to rebrand the website and logo, highlighting the national colour of Kazakhstan. The new logo design is inspired by traditional Kazakh ornaments, which are harmoniously integrated into the silhouette of an owl. This has added authenticity and cultural identity to the logo, making it more recognisable and unique in the Kazakhstani market. In this way, the company emphasises its openness and readiness to be a reliable partner for scientists throughout Kazakhstan.

Scientific and educational centre of the company “Scientific Publications”

In 2025, our scientific and educational centre held more than 50 closed seminars and webinars, as well as 10 open events for everyone. The scientific and educational events brought together scientists and researchers from various countries, including Kazakhstan, Albania, Georgia, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and others. Scientific Publications also held its first webinar on scientometrics in Uzbekistan.

Strengthening international cooperation

In 2025, Scientific Publications signed a number of memoranda with foreign and Ukrainian educational institutions. This was an important step in expanding the company’s international presence and deepening partnerships. In particular, agreements were signed with one university in Kazakhstan, three institutions in Azerbaijan, one university in Albania, four higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan, and two Ukrainian universities.
