To compile the list of journals in Scopus Kazakhstan, materials from scientometric databases, information from scientific publication profiles, and data from Scimago Journal Rank were used.
Scopus journals of Kazakhstan listed in the table can be viewed by:

- Indexing.
- SNIP indicator.
- Quartile (Q) by CiteScore.
- Research discipline.
Additionally, the table contains links to the page of each listed publication and the homepage of Kazakhstani journals included in Scopus.
Kazakhstani journals in Web of Science
To compile the list of journals included in Web of Science, data from the Web of Science Core Collection, Master Journal List, and Journal Citation Reports were used.
In Web of Science, the journal list can be sorted by:
- Source title.
- ISSN.
- Indexing.
- Impact Factor (with reference to the citation index of the Web of Science Core Collection).
- Journal Citation Indicator.
- Journal quartile (Q).
- Field of knowledge.
Each Kazakhstani journal included in Web of Science has a link to its page in the Master Journal List and its homepage.
How can researchers use the data presented in the table?

Kazakhstani journals included in Scopus

To be included in the list of indexed publications, it must meet strict quality criteria and go through the stages of submission, review, clarification, reconsideration, and communication.
Inclusion in Scopus does not mean that no further work on the journal is necessary. On the contrary, it marks the beginning of an even more serious and thorough stage, which includes consistent selection of high-quality content, compliance with ethical standards, scientometric indicators, and much more.
Additionally, Scopus conducts constant quality monitoring of scientific journals and removes them from the database on a monthly basis. Therefore, selecting a journal for publication must be done with particular care.
Today, the list of journals included in Scopus in Kazakhstan is not very extensive, but it already includes reputable and high-quality publications from various disciplines. This reflects the development of the country’s scientific potential and is an indicator of the quality of research.
Web of Science: list of journals
Web of Science is one of the most global scientometric databases, with citation depth reaching back to 1900. The core of the database is the Web of Science Core Collection, which includes 7 citation indexes, 4 of which are journal indexes. To be included in one of them, a publication must meet 24 quality criteria. If it also meets an additional 4 impact criteria, the journal will be included in a higher-ranking citation index.
Kazakhstani journals in Web of Science are represented in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, which indicates an insufficient level of influence to transition to a more authoritative citation index. However, many of these publications show a positive trend in scientometric indicators, contributing to their higher rankings in the future.
