In the fourth quarter of 2025, the National H-index Ranking published its updated assessment results. The article reviews the Kazakhstani higher education institutions that made it into the TOP 10 of the ranking.
The ranking is updated twice a year and is based on the Hirsch index (h-index) values formed on the basis of data from Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar. In the previous article on the updated ranking, the activities of Ukraine's leading scientific organisations – institutes, institutions, and universities – were analysed. This article focuses exclusively on higher education institutions.

To compile the ranking, the activities of 86 higher education institutions were analysed and evaluated.
High positions in international scientific rankings significantly expand the opportunities for universities: they facilitate access to financial resources, stimulate the development of the research environment, create the conditions for international scientific cooperation and increase the attractiveness of the institution for applicants.
