The meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, where the representatives of the countries discussed the prospects of deepening co-operation in the spheres of science and education. What was agreed at the meeting?
Results of the meeting between representatives of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan
- Organisation of an educational exhibition between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in Baku, the purpose of which is to increase the recognition of Kazakh universities among the student youth of Azerbaijan.
- Sending Kazakhstani teachers and scientists to the universities of Azerbaijan for exchange of experience.
- Establishment of a Kazakh-Azerbaijani scientific fund, which will facilitate joint scientific research.
In addition, the Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education familiarised himself with the work of the Association of Kazakh students in Baku and plans to establish a youth association of Turkic countries.
Education and students
At the meeting, the Kazakh Ambassador noted the increase in the number of Kazakh students studying at leading universities in Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that young people will contribute to the development of bilateral ties. He also emphasised Kazakhstan's readiness to accept more applicants from Azerbaijan.
In turn, Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev expressed admiration for the capabilities and level of Nazarbayev University, as well as the number of advanced universities in Kazakhstan. He noted that the number of students from Azerbaijan in Kazakhstani universities could increase several times if the Azerbaijani public is properly informed.
