The scientific holding Scientific Alliance is marking a milestone – 10 years in expert support for scholars. Over this time, our team of specialists has undergone a period of substantial professional growth, and the company itself has significantly expanded its reach and gained recognition in dozens of countries. How did the Scientific Alliance holding take shape? What achievements are we most proud of?
How did the story of Scientific Alliance begin?
The company's history began in 2016 with the opening of its first office in Kyiv. At that time, we began actively working with scholars from Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries. In literally a year of work, we managed to significantly expand our reach – as evidenced by the fact that our clients already represented more than 30 countries around the world.
Alongside this geographical expansion, the company was also taking shape internally. In 2017, we developed our own corporate style and created a brand book, and we also signed our first official memorandum of cooperation with a Ukrainian higher education institution, which, in turn, became the first formally documented partnership in our history.
In 2021, the holding's founder, Denys Pylypenko, was nominated for the “Person of the Year” award for his significant contribution to the development of science. In addition, over the years, the company's work has repeatedly been recognised at a professional level – from national business awards to industry accolades in science and education. This outcome confirms that our approach to working with scholars is recognised not only by our clients, but also by independent experts.
What have we achieved over 10 years of work?
Over ten years of work, the company has grown from a small office in Kyiv into an international structure recognised in dozens of countries around the world. Among the key achievements along this path:
- Geographical expansion. Over 10 years, we have opened four offices: two in Ukraine, one in the Republic of Kazakhstan and one in Kyrgyzstan. We do not plan to stop there and aim to open new offices in other countries.
- Growth in staff. As of 2026, the company employs more than 250 specialists, along with several hundred temporary partners and collaborators.
- Our own certification centre. We established the “Certification Center”, which operates in accordance with the legislation of the countries where the company is represented. It issues scholars with official certificates confirming completion of training courses run by our scientific and educational centre.
- Educational activities. Over the years, the company's scientific and educational centre has run hundreds of webinars and seminars for more than 20,000 scholars.
- Partner network. We actively cooperate with universities and scientific organisations, as reflected in more than 100 signed memoranda with institutions in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Albania and other countries.
- Awards. Evidence of our professionalism and expertise lies not only in client feedback but also in awards across various categories. Among our key accolades are the Ukrainian Business Award in the “Business of the Year” category, the title of “Best Enterprise of the Country”, the “Scientific Company Award” for high performance and expertise, the honorary “Choice of Postgraduate and Doctoral Students” award, “Industry Leader 2025”, and, on the eve of the anniversary, recognition as a leader in the “Country's Choice” business award.
What has earned Scientific Alliance the trust of the scientific community?
Over 10 years of work, we have learnt that scholars trust results, not promises. That is why our team of specialists personally supports every project (from choosing a journal through to the final publication), so that the scholar can focus on their research rather than on the bureaucratic and technical details of the process.
We work with scholars from more than 65 countries around the world, and each time we take into account the specifics of the particular academic system – the requirements of attestation commissions, the features of national evaluation systems, and so on. This allows us to provide genuinely personalised support to every client, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, regardless of which country they are from.
Alongside direct support for publications, we are actively involved in scientific activities: we run webinars and seminars, cooperate with leading universities and scientific institutions through dozens of signed memoranda, and support early-career scholars on their way to their first publications. In this way, we not only help individual scholars to publish, but also contribute to the development of the scientific community as a whole.
