The Scopus scientometric database has recently published a list of discontinued journals in January 2022. This is the first update of the database this year, the previous one (link) was released about a month ago. This suggests a more responsive analysis of publications by Elsevier's experts and algorithms.
The company «Scientific Publications» carries out continuous monitoring of journals indexed in international databases. We, therefore, present an up-to-date list of discontinued journals.

During the last update, 5 journals were discontinued from indexing. The vast majority are excluded from the database due to «Publication Concerns». This means that when evaluating publications, violations of a publishing nature were detected at the publisher or journal level. In addition, one of the publications was excluded based on the results of the Radar check. This usually indicates a disproportionate increase in publication activity or a high self-citation rate.
Evaluation of the activities of a scientific journal is complex and multi-component and often extremely difficult to do independently.
