Opening of the Chinese Jingshi Institute at Utebayev University
Utebayev University has inaugurated the Chinese Jingshi Institute (Petroleum Engineering Technology), which will specialise in training highly qualified specialists in the field of petroleum engineering. Students will have the opportunity to improve their practical skills and professional competence with the help of modern technologies.
The institute currently has more than 25 students with good English language skills, for whom exchange programmes in China are planned. This initiative is part of the large-scale project “One Belt, One Road”.

International co-operation and strategic perspectives
Jingshi Institute is renowned for its high educational standards and technological achievements. Thanks to this partnership, Kazakhstani students have access to international programmes and will be able to attend lectures by leading Chinese professors. In the near future, lecturers from China's Karamay College will arrive at Utebayev University to give lectures on oil and gas technology and the use of drones.

The co-operation between Utebayev University and Jingshi Institute, which began after the agreement was signed last year, will contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists for the oil industry and the development of the university's research potential.
